Step One - Apply

To Apply for Membership:

Step Two - New Member Orientation - Red Badge Program

This program is designed for you to learn more about Rotary and for us, as a club, to learn more about you! We believe this helps you become more involved in the club and get the most out of your membership. Keep your Sponsor and Membership Chair involved on the status of your progress as you work through this program.
In order to move through the Red Badge Program, you will need to choose any 5 of the action items listed below to complete.
  • Give a three minute classification talk to the club
  • Join a committee within the club
  • Attend another club's meeting
  • Participate in a Service Project
  • Do either the Invocation or the Pledge
  • Be a Greeter for 4 weeks
  • Attend a Board of Directors Meeting
  • Have 4 weeks of perfect attendance.
In addition to working through the 5 items of your choice you will also work with your Membership Sponsor and Our Club Membership Chair to set up an orientation meeting where you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Club's rich history.

Step 3 - Installation

Report your completion of the Red Badge Program to your Membership Sponsor. The Membership Director will then work with you and your Club President to schedule your installation as an OFFICIAL Member of The Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club and Rotary International!

This is a one time fee paid at installation to cover membership supplies that you will receive.
Weekly Meetings $15 (average) for lunch – OPTIONAL
Rotary International Foundation: $100/year Voluntary Donation
We encourage all members to support The Rotary Foundation each year with a
$100/year gift. Many of our members set up a $10/month automatic giving schedule by clicking this link and selecting the DONATE NOW button.

Our District 5810 encourages every member to support of district efforts each year with a $120/year gift.
Support of our Annual Fund Raiser – Pumpkin Run at Lake Joe Pool
Each member is asked to sell or purchase at least 10 raffle tickets ($100) and find or purchase at least one sponsor at $500 (Bronze level) or greater for the event.

Rotary International encourages but no longer requires 50% attendance at club meetings. Participation in committee meetings, service projects and makeup meetings with outside clubs are all credited towards your attendance, so you will have ample opportunity to meet that goal. Many Rotarians strive for 100% attendance and with the ability to earn makeup meetings, this is also an attainable goal.

Rotarian Transfer -

Rotarians move, change jobs, and occasionally just need to find a new Club to call home! Our Club has several members that started their Rotary membership in a different club and for a variety of reasons have transferred their membership into The Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club. For our Transfer Members, our process requires you to fill out the Membership Application and then work with our Membership Chair and Executive Secretary, Marilyn Gonsiorek, to make sure that we facilitate that transfer and give you the opportunity to retain your history and data with MyRotary! We also encourage our Transfer Members to complete 5 of the Red Badge Action Items and coordinate with the Membership Chair an opportunity to attend an orientation meeting so that they can also learn about the rich history of The Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club.
