Step One - Apply

To Apply for Membership:

Step Two - New Member Orientation - Red Badge Program

This program is designed for you to learn more about Rotary and for us, as a club, to learn more about you! We believe this helps you become more involved in the club and get the most out of your membership. Keep your Sponsor and Membership Chair involved on the status of your progress as you work through this program.

In order to move through the Red Badge Program, you will need to choose any 5 of the action items listed below to complete.

  • Give a three minute classification talk to the club
  • Join a committee within the club
  • Attend another club's meeting
  • Participate in a Service Project
  • Do either the Invocation or the Pledge
  • Be a Greeter for 4 weeks
  • Attend a Board of Directors Meeting
  • Have 4 weeks of perfect attendance.

In addition to working through the 5 items of your choice you will also work with your Membership Sponsor and Our Club Membership Chair to set up an orientation meeting where you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Club's rich history.

Attendance-

Rotary International encourages but no longer requires 50% attendance at club meetings. Participation in committee meetings, service projects and makeup meetings with outside clubs are all credited towards your attendance, so you will have ample opportunity to meet that goal. Many Rotarians strive for 100% attendance and with the ability to earn makeup meetings, this is also an attainable goal.

Rotarian Transfer -

Rotarians move, change jobs, and occasionally just need to find a new Club to call home! Our Club has several members that started their Rotary membership in a different club and for a variety of reasons have transferred their membership into The Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club. For our Transfer Members, our process requires you to fill out the Membership Application and then work with our Membership Chair and Executive Secretary, Marilyn Gonsiorek, to make sure that we facilitate that transfer and give you the opportunity to retain your history and data with MyRotary! We also encourage our Transfer Members to complete 5 of the Red Badge Action Items and coordinate with the Membership Chair an opportunity to attend an orientation meeting so that they can also learn about the rich history of The Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club.
