We did it! The 36th Annual Pumpkin Run is in the books. Thank you to ALL who did your part in this massive undertaking. What a fantastic turnout. Please mark your calendar for two important dates: 
 

Tuesday, November 1: Board Meeting to decide how to disperse PR funds to our local charities. Everyone invited.
 

Tuesday, November 15: Special luncheon at the GP Courtyard Marriott to distribute the checks to our beneficiaries.

REMINDER: If you are a silver ($1,000) or bronze ($500) sponsor of the Pumpkin Run and have not paid your invoice yet, please bring a check to tomorrow's meeting. Checks should be made out to Lake Joe Pool 10K Pumpkin Run. Thanks!
 

 

1. October 24 is World Polio Day
 

The City of Grand Prairie is hosting the event in partnership with the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce and the Grand Prairie Unity Coalition.  There will be several nonprofits with volunteer opportunities and employers with job opportunities. It will be a great event where people can find a place to serve or work! 

It is a Volunteer Rally and Senior Job Fair October 13, 10 – 1pm at The Summit.  All you need to bring is a table cloth for a 6 foot rectangle table and whatever swag, literature, candy, etc. you want to bring. 

Do we have a volunteer or two that can attend this event and tell visitors about our group, what we do, and extend an invitation to visit a meeting?
