The District 5810 committee on nominations met on Sunday, December 5, and recommended Regina Edwards as District Governor Nominee Designate. Regina is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Carrollton-Farmers Branch, and currently serves as the District’s International Service Chair and Foundation Committee Member. She previously held many positions of responsibility with the District and at her club, including a three-year stint as an Assistant Governor. She has been a Rotarian for 25 years. Among many Rotary activities, she has been on 18 international service trips. If confirmed by RI, she will follow John Curtis as DG for Rotary year 2024-2025.
We have chosen to adopt the Turner Park Nursing Home residents along with transplant patients in the Nicklas Organ Donor Foundation recommended by Prudence Mathis. We will gather to load the packs on Saturday, 12/18/21 at 10am in the Community Room on the second floor of the GPPD (1525 Arkansas Lane, Grand Prairie 75052) and deliver them immediately after.

District 5810 Holiday Party! Come join us on Thursday, December 9 at 6PM at the Haggard Party Barn (5948 McKamy Trail, Plano, TX 75024) for the District 5810 Holiday Party! This event will replace our December Roundtable. Barbeque will be served and the cost for each attendee will be $20.00 to cover the food costs. We will also invite some of the local agencies that work to End Human Trafficking so that you can visit with them and consider a personal contribution/gift. Click to Register.
Our Holiday Party will be Tuesday, December 14, at 6pm at the GP Chamber. There will be a White Elephant Gift Exchange and an Ugly Christmas Sweater contest. There will be NO noon meeting on this Tuesday. The party will serve as our meeting.
We have two new members! Frank Gonzalez is with TSP and Todd Jenkins is with Jenkins Roofing. Due to the holiday schedule, we would like to induct Frank and Todd during our Holiday Party. Even more reasons to celebrate!
